A Note From Maryclara…

I’m honored and excited that you’ve chosen to find my website and hear what I have to say, as the role presents a unique opportunity to combine my experience as a survivor with my love of writing. I’m already in awe at the stories of the readers who’ve contacted me after finding this site, and their open sharing of their lives and histories.

While the majority of my professional career has been focused in the business world, I’ve spent much of my time over the past twenty-five years immersing myself in learning what causes my triggers, studying the underlying causes and cures for PTSD, and listening to others and their stories. What started as an attempt to help myself has turned into an avenue for helping others and bringing hope to many.

Over the past several years, I’ve made it a personal goal to encourage people to share their stories and start conversations about important topics. As I share both their and my stories, I am energized by the opportunity to help connect with those in need of hope and look forward to continuing my efforts to engage and support others.

If just one person finds their way here to explore their feelings, adopt a new method or tool, and gain an insight into their behavior and emotions that leads to greater happiness, then my job as a writer is done.

I wholeheartedly believe that if more people were introspective, the world would be a much more compassionate place. It’s easy to feel afraid of the unknown. Afraid of people or places that are different from what you know and understand. However, sharing enables us to travel through a small bit of another’s life and community. When we experience things for ourselves, even through words on a page, it’s difficult not to feel more open-minded and empathetic towards people and communities that once felt foreign or incomprehensible.

hope that you feel welcome here, and will feel free to reach out through this site or via social media. I’d love to hear your story and share them with my readers.

Here’s to Hope,
Maryclara
